a Hunter

'Tis a warm sunny day, the monsoon gave up.
The world looks and smells like freshly paint'd up.
I was watching how slowly the snail walks
And the silver drop drips from the leaves n' stalks;

The dragon flies with their frail wings
And the orphan'd cuckoo that sings;
The color'd frescoes on the butterfly
And the fragrant flowers that make me high.

Basking in the sun, I was sulking around
When, in a juffy, passed a blurry brown.
A prey was hunted, I heard a bone snap.
It was a kite, I found, following its flap.

It was a sunny day that monsoon gave up.
The world look'd n' smell'd like freshly painted up.
But hunger, hunter and hunted are restless still!
Basking in the sun, I shudder'd a li'l.

the Tale of the Eclips'd Sun

The Raven on the high bough
Recites this poem in Celtic runes:
This is the tale of love,
That left behind a Crescent Moon!

There now appear the Dragons of the Dark
Summoned by the Dark Lord, the curs'd.
He used blood, bones, trapped souls and spark
To enhance his power and quench his thirst.

Eternal darkness is his evil seed;
His need is to bring down the Heaven's light.
He sent his dragons on the Sun, to feed.
Anxious and furious, he clenched his fist tight.

On went the fight between the Sun and the dragons;
But weakened by a failed love, a broken heart
He let down his gaurd and be wounded by daggers.
Memories flooded, of his love being taken apart.

A dragon, sinched by the flame: a wounded pride,
Swallowed the Sun, in dark fury and detest.
Swiftly flew an arrow right through dragon's hide,
Tore through the heart and put him to rest.

The Sun limped out; an eternity elapsed.
To his help came Luna, the archer
Holding him in her embrace, eclipse'd.
The Legend goes on, forever!

The Raven on the high bough
Recites this poem in Celtic runes:
This is the legend of how,
The Sun was eclipsed by the Moon!

the Tale of Crescent Moon

Once upon a time, when Time herself was young,
The Earth had a daughter, Venus' friend, Luna.
Never before now, was this ballad sung:
"The guardian of Time, the Sun was Luna's lover!

In 'Chance Meetings', happened their love;
At dawn and dusk, for a fleeting moment.
To His Majesty, the Maker, did they bow
And recited their song of love and lament.

Furious was the King; Luna quivered!
'Separated by eternal duties, be.'
Thus was the Curse showered.
In guilt, grief and regret, did Luna flee.

Grief and the Curse kept the Sun ablaze.
Yet their, love, never flicker'd,
Drove Luna and Sun for an embrace
And left Luna half burnt n' charred."

Recites this poem in celtic runes;
This is the tale of love,
That left behind a Crescent Moon!

a Firefly Legend

One warm summer eve'
As Dusk politely took her leave,
I happened to tread a road that lies
Along a spring n' somethin'
caught ma' eyes.

I came to a halt to look around.
Look'd around and nothing found,
I started, having no time to sell,
Only to find myself bound by a spell.

Somewhere above the distant thicket
I saw a few stars in the sky fly!
Then I saw a star settle on a bouquet
n' Realized they are fireflies flyin' high.

A gathering of fireflies was soon summon'd.
In unison they twinkled and the place illumin'd.
They have a Firefly Legend, I reckon:
The stars are their ancestors, they beckon'd.

I was bound enchanted for weeks seven
By the glowing faeries' charm
n' The unworldly thought so warm:
The stars are the fireflies twinklin' in Heaven !

the Nymph

The sun was gently red when she hears -
A whisper? Felt like someone dear is in fears.
Nervous and anxious and amidst the noise,
She was soon assured by a little voice.

She walked into churchyard towards the tomb,
Where, in eternity, her mother slept.
The little voice came from inside her womb,
Yea - where, her baby, she kept.

She paced brisk strides into the coolin' meadow.
The sun was so low, it blurred her shadow.
Time still seemed so weird, for she was so anxious!
Did the baby in her womb become conscious?

"Aye mama, I did", the baby spoke with innocence.
"O! my babe! How words fail me this moment!",
Said the mother. A next few moments were silent in essence.
She realised her baby's voice had a tinge of lament!

Mama: Why do you grieve? Is it terrbile to be inside?
'Tis only a matter of days, you'll soon see this world.
Baby: Don't scare me mama, with words; its not cold!
'Tis from the world outside, that I wish to hide.

Mama: Deep in my heart, you, I crave to behold.
See you grow and be chased by dreams.
Baby: And let rot my innocence, that I dearly do hold?
See me grow and be chased by whose dreams?

Moulded by others' dreams under the name of culture
Letting life pass by; living like a chunk of flesh.
Hunted and haunted by Worms and Vultures
And at grave, lay down in blush.

Lemme stay here, mama, forever, please!
Let me stay unspoilt in your womb.
I'll come with you, too, to your tomb.
This be my wish until, to be, this world cease.

my few sketches

the Orphan

Ever heard a tale of the 28th of August
When a human boy who had an incessant lust
For death, played all his cards, killed the Romantic
Within and now walks the Earth as a Necromantic?

He had to sell his soul to the Raven
When he turned his back to the Reaper.
A lady innocent of things happened so far
Pulled him from Death, leaving on his wrist, a scar!

Like the merciless fate of a corpse,
Day by day decayed the very props
That for ages have born the human nature.
Hatred and Anger, like worms, creeped and nurtured.

Repugnance is what he felt for all things around him.
Reason and rationality gave way to the Devil's whim.
His sword unsheath'd cut through everything foul,
And his cold cruel eyes spared no innocent soul.

Hearts - innocent, treacherous, gentle and cruel, bled.
In his presence, all mortals, mean and noble, fled.
All but the innocent lady, his only kith and kin,
Who gave him back to Death and yet lives I, the orphan within!
